Have you ever wondered how your life would be without Google? I am not sure what’s scarier. Living without Google or using Google while knowing how much I depend on their services. I use Google for just about everything. I use Google’s search engine, email service, and use Places for marketing my local computer repair business. Life without Google would be challenging.

What would you do if there was no such thing as Google? I remember many many years ago I would submit my sites into DMOZ and Yahoo Directory. It would literally take weeks to a couple months to get my listings included. I even become a DMOZ editor just to give me a little flex power with controlling my competition. Of course I will admit that today because DMOZ doesn’t really matter much.

Assuming there was no such thing as Google but everything else remained the same (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, etc.) I would probably start using Bing as my main search engine. I have been impressed with their service. Birds eye view specifically. That feature is awesome. I would do more social network marketing. I don’t do much of that currently because I don’t have much of a need for it and I’m not very social. Lastly, I would use my own email hosted on a private server. Either that, or AOL Mail. AOL actually has a very decent email service.

Assuming Google didn’t exist and everything as you know it today remained the same, what would you do? And what would your life be like without Google?
